Tom Swift & His Aerial Warship

Victor Appleton's creation of Tom Swift captured the hearts and minds of children everywhere. Here was a boy who could invent and construct incredible machines and then use them to help outwit the various villians that his adventures led him into. There were around a hundred of these in total. But his greatest invention? That of Victor Appleton who was a house pseudonym of the Stratemeyer Syndicate, who also produced Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys.
