For Love of Maria

A couple in their eighties, Dennis and Maria Cramp were quite contentedly and quietly living out their twilight years in the town of Accrington, Lancashire. However, in 2006 this was to change. Not through choice they were parted, and their plight became known world wide.

This is the remarkable true story of a couple whose love has stood the test of time. It begins by looking at their individual lives, to the day their paths crossed; Dennis will relate the story of how he met and fell in love with Maria and the battle he fought to care for her until they were parted through death. Whilst he fought for his country he could never have imagined the battle that was to follow. Not once did he falter in his fight to care for his wife. His strength and courage will serve as an inspiration to other couples who may find themselves in a similar situation.
