Clare Coulson is an author and journalist, specialising in gardens and horticulture, for the Financial Times HTSI magazine, the Daily Telegraph, Gardenista, the Observer, House & Garden, The English Garden, Gardens Illustrated and others. A former fashion journalist, she was previously Fashion Editor at the Daily Telegraph and Fashion Features Director at Harper’s Bazaar. She is co-editor and contributing author of Blooms (Phaidon, 2019) and also for Phaidon - contributing writer for The Garden Chef (2019), The Garden Book (2021), Flower; Exploring the World in Bloom (2020), Bird: Exploring the Winged World (2021) and The Men’s Fashion Book (2021). Her first book, House Rules, (Bantam, 2005) was a modern-day Mrs Beeton style guide to living. She is also a lecturer in journalism at Central Saint Martins in London.
