In the Maul district of Zamora, where bandits go to celebrate their crimes, a young barbarian, black hair, broad shoulders and powerful torso, hears a Kothian talking about the Tower of the Elephant. The thief tells him that it contains in its heights the Heart of the Elephant, a marvellous jewel that offers wealth and powers to the one who holds it. Without preparation, Conan the Cimmerian undertakes the ascent of this tower reputed to be impregnable, a journey that will test the body and mind of the barbarian...

This gloriously illustrated work is an adaptation of one of the most celebrated Conan stories by creator Robert E. Howard.

Robert Erwin Howard was born and raised in rural Texas, where he lived all his life. The son of a pioneer physician, he began writing professionally at the age of fifteen. He became known as the father of Sword and Sorcery for pioneering the genre with his pulp fiction tales of Conan the Barbarian. Howard killed himself in June 1936 when he learned that his beloved mother had fallen into a coma.

Described as a rising star in the European comics scene, Valentin Sécher has now taken over the graphic design of Michael Morlock’s Elric, for the fifth volume. He has been published by Titan Comics with the title Khaal, and by Humanoids with The Metabaron Book.
