This new edition of the fifth volume of the ’Complete Collection’ now includes 48 pages of extra material - articles, interviews and illustrations. It covers the years 1957 to 1959 and brings together three volumes that truly open the golden age of the Morris-Goscinny team. In The Judge, the new writer adopts the tradition of introducing historical characters - here Judge Roy Bean. Goscinny also created the Iznogoud series with illustrator Tabary, published in English by Cinebook, and the hugely successful Asterix series with illustrator Uderzo. Born and raised in Belgium, Morris moved to the United States in 1946 for six years. There, he worked for MAD magazine and met René Goscinny, with whom he collaborated from 1955 until Goscinny’s death in 1977.
