Today we are bombarded by advertisements on the television and in magazines about our physical well-being and fitness. What exercises are we doing? What foods are we eating? This is all well and good as we should be looking after our bodies. Our bodies are a holy place and as such should we not also be considering our spiritual well-being. This affects our mental health and how we approach our daily lives just as much as our physical well-being. Just as food fuels the physical body so our mind and hearts are fuelled by our spiritual body. We need to discern what we are putting into our thoughts and actions just as much as we consider what we are putting into our mouths. What is influencing us, what is driving what we do each day and the decisions we make. This book attempts to show how individual and familiar words, with the help of a relevant verse or verses from the Bible can unlock spiritual truths that can help us in our everyday lives and in understanding and knowing our God better. It is not intended that the reader should read the chapters sequentially but rather select a single theme from the Contents page as the Holy Spirit prompts.
