To succeed, crucial turning points follow that become the novel s narrative arc; (the acceptance of his mission, his wife s sudden death, and meetings with teachers in Mystery Schools) one of whom inspires Noah to launch a competition that becomes global overnight; young adults are asked to write a statement that can equal, or even surpass the statement, Love your neighbour as yourself .

But when chosen, the winning statement is viciously attacked by every category of a non-believer who then devises their competition entitled, why has Christianity failed? Later chapters attempt to answer their question.

To achieve his goal, Noah meets an extraordinary array of beings, some of whom he describes as HEBS (highly evolved beings) who introduce him to the wisdom of the ages.
