This is a collection of poems and stories, divided into three sections:

I. Peering Back to the Path from the Past: The long and winding road from childhood, to teaching, to meeting husband and his family, to the north, to post-Covid days,

II. Looking Through the Gates to Bear Witness: These are the people poems for friends here and friends gone, celebratory and desolated,

III. Glancing at the View Beyond the Gates: Still shovelling words into piles, raging against . . . many things, obnoxious, obstreperous commentaries on the world, grief, loss, aging and its joys.
