Dr. Douglas Wilde Ph.D. grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney - the heartland of working-class rugby league in the 1960s. With a league history spanning 54 years (starting at age 11) - including representing the Australian Army v Wales in 1978. Dr. Wilde is a Patron of League Freak and The Rugby League Project. For over 30 years he has given back to the game as a coach, a club president, and an administrator - including being a past Chairman of the South Australian Rugby League.
