Meditations on God and Children

What is so special about children that Jesus wanted to spend time with them, and what can they teach us about our relationship with God? As it turns out, they can teach us quite a bit. Meditations on God and Children is an expanded version of the author’s book From the Mouths of Babes. In this book, the author further reflects on his relationship with his grandchildren and how it provides a glimpse of God’s feelings toward each of us. As Orndorff considers the birth of his children and grandchildren and the experience of watching them grow through the various stages of life, his conclusion is that God’s love and concern for each of us is boundless. God loves you and wants you to be with Him as His child. Moreover, the rewards He has for each of us are boundless. Yet the real reward is in how close we are to God. The richness of our lives, in this world and the next, will be measured according to the depth of our relationship with God. So, how rich is your life?
