Tiny Tim the Turtle - Singalong is part of the Sounds and Symbols, ’Literacy-through-Music’ series. The series is designed to promote foundational literacy competencies - language skills (vocalisation, vocabulary and comprehension), phonological awareness - awareness of syllables, rhymes and phonemes (individual units of sound), the ability to match alphabet characters to corresponding language sounds and the ability to synchronise to a regular beat or rhythm.

The musical accompaniment and demonstration videos are often provided via a QR code inside the books. All music is syllabic to reinforce the concept of syllabification.
