Jai and the Raining Red Stones

The mystical world of Turmali is in crisis. Invading aliens from outer space have stolen the Tourmaline gemstones that give power and light to this far-off world. Now few gems remain and the world is dying. The aliens have also destroyed the rainbow bridges that connect the seven lands of Turmali so the people are cut off and isolated, living in fear of their alien invaders – the dreaded “Light Killers”. Jai Gupta is one of the twelve GoMadKids and he has his own series of ten books for readers to enjoy. In this particular story, the first in the Jai Gupta series, we get to know Jai, his family, his life in India, and his love of cricket! Jai’s life feels surreal to him when he begins to have recurring dreams about red gems raining from the sky and a tiger in the busy streets of Mumbai. One day, when he rescues a dog from cruel and tormenting bullies, the dog rewards him by showing him the location of a beautiful red Tourmaline gemstone – just like the gems of his dreams – and magical things begin to happen.
