Saskia Cant is a British Spy parody, a rollercoaster page turner you’ll never wish would end. Strangeways has uncovered a plot to bring down the British Government, but before he or his assistant can inform MI5 of their discovery, they are killed and their bodies vanish without trace. Aware they have a problem but not of the nature of the threat they face, MI5 give their top resourceful, intelligent and fearless agent, Saskia Cant, the task of uncovering what Strangeways had discovered and then bringing those perpetrators responsible to justice.
She is aided in her quest by assistant agent Maya Chin, who undertakes the less dangerous, administrative work and along with some gadgets and a ’cool’ Bond car. Their investigations lead her into the shady world of Sir Charles Cullen, a man with expensive tastes, chiefly his wife and gambling and who is so in desperate need of money that he intends to hold the nation to ransom with the threat of a Nuclear bomb. In true ’Bond’, and sixties spy genre tradition, Saskia embarks on a race against time to penetrate Sir Charles’ secret lair and stop the launch of the bomb before it’s too late, whilst at the same time, Sir Charles now aware she’s after him, does all he can to stop her.
