About the author: Michelle McQuillan (MSc MBACP Accred) is a Counsellor and Psychotherapist living and working in North Lanarkshire and Glasgow in Scotland. As both a mum and a skilled therapist with extensive experience working with individuals for many years in her practice, she has witnessed how stories can give children and adults the language and confidence to explore their emotions in safe and meaningful ways. This book, the first in the ’Dealing with Feelings’ series, aims to help children understand and regulate their feelings, whilst at the same time offering parents, carers, educators and professionals, suggestions in how to nurture children’s emotional wellbeing from an early age. Combining her professional knowledge with a warm, engaging style, Michelle McQuillan has created a gentle but powerful resource to help children and adults alike. Her hope being that the book not only supports children in building resilience and self-understanding but also offers adults practical tools for opening up conversations that strengthen trust and connection.
