Leadership is complex. Leading in today’s complex and fast changing work environment requires a new and different set of mindsets, skills and practices. Short programs and quick fixes no longer work and traditional leadership models are not adequately preparing leaders for the complexity and ambiguity they face in the workplace. Leaders find themselves and their teams overwhelmed and burnt out and in an environment of low trust that is neither energising nor engaging.
IT’S TIME...
- For a new approach to leadership where future-fit mindsets and practices form the basis of a thriving future and where leaders help people make sense of the challenges.
- For hyper collaboration and co-creation to solve complex challenges together.
- For new ways of learning that embrace ongoing learning and how people really change.
Leadership Fit for the Future of Work is the book you need right now.
With over thirty years as a leadership and leadership development researcher and practitioner, Dr. Marianne Roux observed that though there is a significant financial investment in leadership development; results are lacklustre, development does not stick, behaviours do not change, and the quality of leadership does not improve. Leaders are increasingly overwhelmed and teams are burnt out and stressed.
Marianne’s recent PhD research focused on models of leadership and leadership development that are a better fit for the complex future we face. She has used this research to develop six critical leader mindsets and practices any leader can develop over time. She has also developed an updated contextual approach to leadership development that delivers significant impact.
To translate these mindsets and practices into actions, Marianne further interviewed several organisations and leaders that embody these practices, mindsets and approaches.
This book is for any leader or those involved in leadership development to use as a guide to future-proofing leadership and, at the same time, supercharge organisational growth and employee engagement.
