博客來In a modern world where manufacturing exports represent a very important sector for Italy, the sector of manufacturers of automatic wrapping and packaging machines continues to improve, growing exponentially from year to year and reaching in 2023 a total turnover of 9 billion and 229 million euros, with an increase of 8% on the previous year (UCIMA data, Union of Automatic Machine Manufacturers). This is the third consecutive record, after that of 2021 and 2022. An important result, achieved for 78.7% on international markets for a total of 7 billion and 262 million euros and for 21.3%, 1 billion and 967 million euros, on the national one.
In this context, the author analyzes through his personal experience in 36 years of activity having visited 64 countries abroad the situation of the so-called ＂travelers＂, i.e. technicians and salespeople who go to the most remote places in the world for sales or putting these plants into production, describing what can happen abroad especially in medium or high risk geographical areas, moves on to an analysis of the laws in Italy (Legislative Decree 81/2008 and Legislative Decree 231/2001) and the legislation ISO/UNI 31030 provides a summary of what companies should comply with to mitigate or eliminate endogenous and exogenous risks during travel.
Knowing the country information, habits and customs of customers favors commercial relations between Italy and these countries.
For this reason, the ＂traveler＂ must be informed and trained at the company where he is employed through training courses. Not secondary is the security part carried out through PSC companies (private security companies) which at present Italian legislation does not provide for.
Consequently, if an Italian company needs a PSC for its travel workers, it must necessarily turn to one registered abroad. The United States of America and Great Britain absorb 70% of the world market (total turnover more then 200 billions of USD) with 2 negative effects on us.
The first is that these PSC companies will pay taxes abroad and not in Italy.
The second is that they will have in their hands all the technical-commercial information that they can clearly pass on to the ＂intelligence agencies＂ of their country and consequently to our foreign competitors.
