Freyja didn’t know why the dreams sent her on her epic walk, but the little prairie town of Lethbridge was 2,643 miles away, and the dreams told her to go there.

On foot.

But hey, every great journey starts with a single step, and when Freyja closed the door on the only home she had ever known, she didn’t look back.

Freyja didn’t know a lot of things when she started walking. She knew she was different, but she didn’t know that she was one of the magical creatures, a lord. She didn’t know she’d find friends and love. She didn’t know about elves. She didn’t know that there were people out to kill her.

She sure didn’t know how she was going to keep a monster pack of dire wolves fed. They get snappy when they’re hungry.

Every step brought new adventures, and every step closer to Lethbridge taught Freyja more about herself and the magic inside her.
