The Last Superhero

Jas, a Grade Seven boy, puts all his energy into completing artwork for an adventure comic. But when he meets Wren, an eccentric, crusading classmate, his efforts are derailed. When she sees things wrong, she sets out to correct them. Eventually, because of Jas’ inadvertent interference, the bullies turn their attention to him.

Kristin Butcher published her first novel in 1995 and became hooked on the idea of writing for a living. With the publication of The Last Superhero, she will have produced eighteen books for children. Kristin, who currently lives in Campbell River, British Columbia, with her family, has travelled extensively across Canada, where the differences in landscape, climate and people is immeasurable.
