Educación, Comunidad Y Literatura: Condiciones Para La Emergencia de Una Literatura Indígena Contemporánea (Caso Bröran-Térraba En Costa Rica)

Jorge Alberto Tapía-Ortiz has a doctorate in Hispanic Languages and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh. His research intertwines Latin American literature, history, social movements, and popular cultures. He has specialised in contemporary indigenous literature. He is currently a visiting postdoctoral fellow attached to the Master’s Degree in Amerindian Studies and Bilingual Education and a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Autonomous University of Querétaro. He teaches literary workshops in indigenous communities with the intention of promoting the emergence of male and female new writers, as well as the empowerment and recognition of the ancestral thought of Amerindians.
