Teresa Basile (Argentina) is a professor of Secondary, Normal and Special Education in Arts, Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Latin American literature, Doctor of Arts from the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, and has a Master’s Degree in Hispanic Letters from the National University of Mar del Plata. She is a member of the Scientific Committee, a researcher at the Center for Literary Theory and Criticism, and also works as a professor in the Chair of Latin American Literature II of the UNLP. She is a founding member and member of the steering committee of the research network: Violencia y representación en América Latina and the Red Académica de Docencia e Investigación en Literatura Latinoamericana Katalay (Katalay Academic Network for teaching and research in Latin American Literature). She, along with Enrique Foffani, is the director of the magazine Katatay: revista crítica de literatura latinoamericana (2005-15).
