Linda Bluenight’s life as a teacher on the Tohono O’odham reservation west of Tucson, Arizona is shattered when her teenage son, Matty, finds the murdered corpse of a millionaire developer. When the Tucson Police Department requests her assistance with the autopsy because of her background in forensic anthropology, Linda finds herself embroiled in a controversy involving local developers and the destruction of the Sonoran desert.
