John C. Boland, whose fiction has appeared in national magazines since 1976, has been nominated for Edgar, Shamus, Derringer and International Thriller Writers awards. A pseudonymous 2011 novel, Long Pig, was a contender for a Shamus. He is the author of more than a dozen novels published by St. Martin’s Press, Pocket Books and Perfect Crime, including most recently--under his own name--The Man Who Knew Brecht.
