Born and raised in Maine, he attended the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy, joined the Kappa Sigma fraternity, and fell in love with the west.
As a youngster, he was tormented by his siblings, bullied at school, and abused by a priest. He and his partner of nearly 30 years, have formed an unorthodox family.
