While researching actual aggression between residents of nursing facilities, Bonifas discovered lesser forms of negative behavior among residents that resembled bullying in children. Here she offers advice to care providers and seniors themselves on how to recognize such behavior, and--with help from fellow social workers--on how to minimize it effectively. She covers an overview, general interventions to address bullying, and creating caring communities.
