As the moderator for Wolf’s Run, an online werewolf role-playing game, Deanna enjoys working from home—hunkered down with a warm laptop on her knees and her golden retriever Arthur by her feet. When she isn’t working, she’s wandering the local forest trails with Arthur and daydreaming about her attractive neighbor, a mellow and enigmatic grad student named Jamie.

As Wolf’s Run’s denmother, Deanna deals with her fair share of drama. But when a user named @crywolf elevates his commentary from antagonistic to threatening in concert with a chilling experience in the woods, Deanna wonders if her job is riskier than anyone could have imagined.
