Heart of Granite

Detective Garrett Hart was known on the streets as Granite. Depending on who you asked, was it for his hard-as-granite body or his hard heart towards crime. A reckless run-in with a knife nearly took Garrett’s life, but he recovered and was more than ready to return to work. To do so, he had to take the new detective with him. He wasn’t pleased; to make matters worse, the new detective was a woman. He had no problem with female detectives, just not in his car. Detective Bradley left New York or jeopardized losing her badge. She wasted no time letting Detective Hart know where she stood. She didn’t like how his eyes raked over her body when they met in the Lieutenant’s office. He might be used to getting his way with women, but one cheating man in her life was enough. Tampa, Florida was just a temporary stop until another position became available in Atlanta, Louisiana, or Los Angeles.＂ Anywhere but this retirement state.
