Joe Hefferon was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, which is also where he worked for 25 years in law enforcement. He ended that epoch as a captain but still works with and trains cops in his home state. Hefferon has published dozens of articles profiling successful women for About.com and equity research for Seeking Alpha. Other books by Joe Hefferon include The Last Meridian. He’s is a fan of the classic crime writers, as well as, Dennis Lehane, James Lee Burke and Elmore Leonard, but his favorite author is Cormac McCarthy.
