Ann Sheils lives and writes poetry and fiction in her native Savannah, Georgia. She has had poems published in The Anglican Theological Review, Dappled Things, Gray’s Sporting Journal, Main Street Rag, The Aurorean, The Wayfarer, Time of Singing, and other journals.
Recently Finishing Line Press published her chapbook, In the Perennial Garden.
She has been mentored by Donald Justice at Sewanee Writer’s Conference, Ann Hood at Aspen’s Summer Words, Tony Morris at Ossabaw Island Writers’ Retreat, and Antonya Nelson at the Ah Ha School in Telluride, CO., but initially by The Reverend William H. Ralston.
Formerly a teacher, she now sells real estate. Her leisure time is spent on saltwater, hiking the San Juan Mountains, gardening, golf and tennis. Ann is married and has three adult children.
