Stephen J. Wolf is a science teacher with a PhD in science education and a penchant for fantasy. Growing up, he watched Mr. Wizard’s World, learning that science could explain otherwise magical events. Playing video games, he developed a love of storytelling through gameplay, with fantastic beasts and advancing skills. In eighth grade, Wolf’s teacher prompted the class with three writing challenges. Wolf linked the challenges together, creating his first short story and instilling in him a love of writing. He wrote the Red Jade series contained herein and two prequels. He has also crafted a choose-the-fate novel, and a poetry book, and has other novels in the works.
