Christ Crucified is a thorough examination of the work of redemption. The sequel to Christ Condemned, Christ Crucified shows how the fundamental doctrines of the Incarnation and the Trinity are manifested in the historical life of Christ. The virgin birth, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and second coming are demonstrated and explained, philosophically and from Scripture, together with Christ’s headship over the human race and divine offices of prophet, priest, and king. The signs of the historical doctrines are also illuminated, such as the transfiguration on the mount and the triumphal entry into Jerusalem. This is the second work of a Trinitarian Systematic Theology, concerning the doctrine of the Son.
