The Poetry Workshop and Bible Study on Big Emotions is a tool to help anyone dealing with overwhelming emotional highs and lows. It covers eight forms of poetry and eight big emotions that are the most common.
Each poem section is given a brief narrative and direction for use, with plenty of space to write.
Each emotion is also given a brief narrative describing the emotion and how it may affect you, then some biblical examples and the underlying purpose for each verse, with a takeaway section and room to write your own thoughts and any verses that you feel are applicable.
This workshop was meant to be tackled one emotion and one poem form at a time, going over them multiple times over the course of a school year, It takes time, practice and exposure for writing of any kind let alone new forms of writing to become helpful and second nature. No one expects the user to become an amazing poet, or to master all eight forms of poetry. However, with practice and effort, poetry can become a healthy habit to overcome the negative parts of the big emotions that are sure to come their way.
