Complicated Past

Serving on the Army’s elite Bad Karma Special Ops team has given Staff Sergeant Lincoln Porter a sense of worth and belonging. Linc is determined to protect his nephew from entering the foster care system, but, with his team deployed, his only allies are the social worker who rejected him and the local authorities who want to sideline him from their investigation.

Social worker Kendra Andrews has encountered frightening situations in her career, but she never anticipated becoming a target of a drug smuggling cartel. Now, she must depend on her client’s sexy Special Ops brother for protection from the kidnapper hunting her and his nephew. Despite her past resolve to steer clear of military men, Linc’s protective nature and empathy are everything she wants in a man.
