A collection of twelve linked, hard-hitting, visceral, at times erotic, stories set in a small farming community near the tree line. These stories chart the course of a group of young men who are grappling with the challenges of moving from adolescence to manhood in a culture characterized by financial insecurity in the farm sector and limited opportunities off the farm; with changing attitudes toward sexuality and with troubled family relationships.
