That was John Zapata’s mindset when he recorded his travel experiences around the globe. A first trip backpacking across Europe in the ’70s whetted his appetite for meeting people in the midst of their everyday lives. He was always less of a tourist, more of an explorer. Whether on motorcycle, by Jeep, or airplane, John continued to indulge his travel passion with his wife, logging many thousands of miles across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
