Even Heroes Sometimes Sink

Simon, a wealthy, handsome L.A. businessman, son of Holocaust survivors, dies mysteriously in Argentina, where he and his wife are trying to heal their marriage. After hearing the shocking news, his best friend, a comrade since Vietnam-era university days, drives from Oregon with his perceptive French wife to speak at the funeral. Reflecting on memories, meeting with Simon’s family and companions, even journeying to Auschwitz, the grieving friend struggles to comprehend the loss of a tragically sensitive, intensely secretive man.
