Surface Geology of the Pacific Northwest is a geology lab manual that gives students hands-on experience. The exercises provide instructional content to help understand rivers, glaciers, and deserts. Labs also focus on topographic maps, superfund sites, floods, coasts, landslides, and surface geology, all based in the Pacific Northwest. The sixteen labs and two field trip modules in this manual are printed in color and feature perforated pages for students to tear out and submit. Written by community college faculty and thoroughly tested in the classroom, these labs will engage students with the world around them.
