Marissa van Uden is the EiC of Violet Lichen Books, the editor of ECO: The Year’s Best Speculative Ecofiction series, and a writer of ecological weird fiction. She is editor of the award-winning The Off-Season: An Anthology of Coastal New Weird, and her short fiction has appeared in Vastarian Literary Journal, Dark Matter Magazine, and Small Wonders, among others. Marissa grew up in Aotearoa New Zealand and spent a decade in Germany before giving up big cities for a little cabin in the woods overlooking a beaver pond. She lives in Lamoille, Vermont.
