Nearly two decades ago, Susan ＂Pea＂ Butler left her home and family for New York. Now, she has been called back with dreadful news: Eve Butler, her sister-in-law and former flame, is dying. Susan Pea returns to Georgia to help set Eve’s affairs in order. But, with every turn, festering and rotten secrets of liaisons, assault, and mysterious disappearances are bubbling to the surface.
