Lil’ Red: A Story of Survival, Healing, and Forgiveness

This is the story of Lil’ Red, a beautiful, rambunctious, energetic, red-headed little soul born into a hostile world, who does her best to battle the wolves in her life from childhood bullies, to her mother and father and ultimately, her abusive husband.

In her memoir, Jill shares the life lessons she learned and her strategies for survival, healing, and forgiveness. She shares with us how she broke the cycle of violence and successfully built a joyous life and loving family for herself. Jill provides inspiration for victims, survivors, and those who know them. She also shows us how to fortify ourselves and build up our reserves so that when we encounter hardships in life, we can call up our resilience when we need it.

As a survivor of abuse herself, it is Jill’s hope that, through sharing her deeply intimate thoughts, experiences, feelings, and insights, her story will shed light on domestic violence, parental abuse, and bullying. Readers are invited to walk back with her through Jill’s stories of pain and joy, heartache and triumph, hopefully expanding their perspective and inspiring action for change and healing along the way.
