When Sophia flew to Greece on short notice to meet her grandfather before he died, she had no idea she was stepping from her normal-if magical-world into one of mysteries and ancient texts. It’s thrilling even as it overwhelms her, and that’s before she realizes there are dangerous plots slithering in the dark corners of the library.

All too quickly, what had begun as an exciting adventure turns into a nightmare, as she has to simultaneously mourn her grandfather, navigate the Athenaeum, and keep herself from becoming the next casualty. Except she doesn’t know who she can trust and who is trying to get rid of her.
