Zilch

Zilch, the third installment of Ms. Willden’s magical Zest series, is an epic fantasy adventure that is pulling reluctant readers off their tablets and into the pages of a book!

Like all Magical Page Publishing books, Zilch was designed for struggling readers. It has short chapters and vocabulary help on every page. Zilch also has a high-interest plot with a low-readability text to engage 3rd-5th-graders. It is perfect for English learners, children with dyslexia, or those with a low interest in reading.

Jazz and Ethan have Zest. It fills their lives with fairies, dragons, and joy! Their friend Lydia doesn’t have Zest yet. She needs all the joy she can get.

The three friends go on a magical quest to find the Zilch. They don’t know much about him, but they know he’s the only way to get Lydia some Zest of her own.

Soon their path is blocked by strange creatures and dangerous places. Getting to the Zilch feels impossible. It feels terrifying! It takes a new kind of magic: bravery.
