Who is Babe Vicarelli? The Inevitable Lie takes the reader on a mystery tour, examining clues to define this dimensional character-there are varied possibilities. Everyone has secrets; no one plays strictly by the rules, and he has to decide what kind of man he wants to be and determine which rules to follow and which to break. The psych community thinks he’s a sociopath; the USMC considers him a Marine’s Marine, brave, intelligent, attentive to detail, with the highest regard for command. The world appreciates his impressive, perfectly carved body and imposing mass. His adopted boys look at him as their stable, everything, and provider. Trinity, his one and only love, views him as a real-life superhero. Everybody wants him, but what does he want? He’s broken all the molds to become what?
The Inevitable Lie sketches a realm of directions he can go-Marine, bodyguard, and fixer for the cartel, a son-in-law with obscene tactical skills, or a rescuer of trafficked people, which to choose because each comes at a cost. The one unquestionable truth that isn’t all smoke and mirrors is his love for Trinity and all that comes with her. Once fearful of nothing, the reality has changed, and the absolute question is: What if he lost her? Does anything else matter? What is possible, probable, or inevitable?
The Inevitable Lie is the fourth installment in the Fit the Crime series. The character is powerful, flawed, and love worthy. He is a work in progress.
