If you already know me, then you are aware of the weird journey I’m about to take you on. Please allow me to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my black heart. Thank you for purchasing this first book in the massive series about the life of ＂Psycho.＂ You will be thrilled to know this re-edition is not a repeat of the original work of the same title. That one has been archived and is no longer available for purchase. This one is the uncensored and extended version.
That said, if you are a first-time reader of my works, then allow me to give you a quick warning. My stories are not for the overly sensitive, faint of heart or for children.
While all my stories are ＂fictional,＂ they are also based on my own personal life experiences. Many historically taboo subjects such as extreme child abuse, sexual assault, human trafficking, violent crime, mental illness, and social injustices (to name a few) are covered in detail. I offer no excuse nor apology, though I do assure you I have done my very best to avoid undue graphic description, gratuitous violence, and the overtly disgusting.
This book and those that follow are based on actual events. Much to my despair, they have not always been a pleasant experience. In real life, there often are not happy endings. Even the most blessed lives end with slow decay of aging and eventual death. No matter what you believe comes after we die, pain and loss are eventually felt by us all.
Yikes! I think by this point you are probably asking yourself, ＂why the hell should I read this book? Isn’t there enough sadness and despair in the world without adding yet another story of woe to my already difficult existence? Besides, who is this Psycho person anyway? Why should I even care about her story?＂
Those are very good questions, indeed! Most people are only interested in the biographies of famous people, gurus, historians, scholars, or those who went from rags to riches. Those are, of course, worthy subjects that are no doubt able to provide their readers with amazing insight into the correct formulas that elevated them to the stars.
I confess to you right now. I am none of the above. In fact, you could, at least on the surface, categorize me as a Nobody who is far too old to even dream that my status as just a faceless person among the billions on Earth is ever going to change.
I have always believed a person shouldn’t disclose or write details about their life unless those details can offer some value of significant worth. In that regard, many would argue that I do possess a story that is not only worth telling, but it would also be wrong to not write it. While I may not have the correct formula to obtain incredible wealth, complete Zen, or even how to influence people and claim fame, this is the beginning of my life’s story.
Instead, if you will let me, I can offer you a chance to feel less alone. I can perhaps even aid you in recognizing no matter how burdened you may be, there is usually a way to become the best version of yourself possible. My stories will do this by offering an honest, uncensored look through the eyes of a deeply troubled young person suffering from a very serious mental illness. Her journey towards adulthood is fraught with perils that appear insurmountable. She will fail as often as she succeeds in her bid for a peaceful life.
If you decide to enter her brutal world, you’ll discover that despite all the pitfalls, she will emerge from the chaos with incredible wisdom. As well, as the deep scars to prove it. Her outcome will surprise and hopefully delight you. There is only one way to find out. Read on if you dare.
