What do you believe in?

In the end, it may not matter - as long as you believe in something.

Dante and Chris Poulos are mourning the loss of their father and are picking up the final pieces of his loss when a mysterious stranger returns from the afterlife. But this is not their father, and this is no longer the afterlife the modern world believes in, but the one of Greek mythology - the Underworld, Hades, the Elysian Fields. The arrival of this stranger is followed by that of one of the gods of that pantheon, but not one that has ever figured into a tale as anything more than a brief mention, an acknowledgement at best. Their destiny, along with Chris and Dante’s, will come together in a conclusion that will change their lives - and that of the afterlife, forever.
