The Mysteries of the Mountain

Jerry Loft y and Inspector Donal Deverly come to the sacred mountain to find inner peace. They come to experience its mystical spirituality since St Patrick spent 40 days and 40 nights praying and fasting on its peak. But now this 1500 year old precious pilgrimage place for Ireland and the nations is threatened. Deverly and Lofty with the help of locals have to organise a campaign to fend off an international conglomerate who wants to mine gold on the mountain and almost certainly devastate it irretrievably. More urgently they have to find out who had murdered The Mountain himself, Danny Pat Sugrue, so called because he and his family had run sheep on the slopes of the pyramid mountain and been its guardians from time immemorial. A Further attempted murder and suicide makes the task of the dynamic duo not only difficult but fraught with untold dangers. Will the mysteries of the holy mountain be finally solved or will their labours be in vain?
