This is the fifth book in the series featuring art assessor Sam Price. Once again, he is drawn into a mystery surrounding an art theft at the behest of insurance agent Samantha. Parisian Sophie and her Dutch boyfriend, detective Martijn are soon involved on the European side whilst in America, Tammy in New York, Alison and Terri in San Francisco and Claire in Oregon are called in to help research the reason why two paintings in particular had been the target. There is a kidnapping, a death and various chases as the mystery deepens. Walther from Interpol joins the fray and a criminal element from Spain causes concern.
