After being forced to flee Miklagard, Jarl Falkhand returns home to his land north of the Baltic Sea. He must tell his wife’s father of his daughter’s death at the hands of the Vizier and his revenge on the man. Instead of traveling inland, north through the Red Sea and the Dnieper River, he sails west across the Mediterranean. Jarl is attacked in Southern Gaul and left for dead by his crew. He’s forced to travel north with a priest as his only companion. The two obtain passage on a Danish vessel. A storm arises and the Dane’s threaten to throw the priest overboard. Jarl prevents it and is left on the coast of the Isle of the Angles, where he discovers a whole new life. His voyage home is the last in the Viking Saga series.
