The Hymn of Mara

American Railway engineer Lawrence Mills is cast amid the cultural, political, and spiritual battleground of British-occupied India in 1905.

Here, he meets Mara, a Christian woman of mixed ancestry whose quiet strength and unadorned grace set her apart. Their encounter awakens love, desire, and doubt- feelings Mara has long controlled.

An unrelenting evil soon confronts her, forcing a choice between suffering death for her faith or betraying her savior to preserve her mortal life.
