What makes this season challenging for many, is families sometimes replace the only strategy the child has ever known or relied on to get their needs of feeling seen, safe and soothed met with something insufficient. Additionally, your child cannot understand why it is happening, so they protest mightily when those needs feel denied. We do the same thing as adults.
I want to introduce you to the gift of leaning-a principle we all need in life to thrive. We all have needs so rather than teach our child to run to toys, food, or technology in their felt need, what if we taught them how to find it in relationship? Leaning will take this challenging transition and turn it into a celebratory and memorable rite of passage for your family.
