Cassidy Wells is 32, today and perpetually. This pseudonym helps to disguise an author who worked for many years as a psychologist before retiring her license to write romance novels. She knows only too well how messed up heroes and heroines can be and how complicated their lives can become. After years of doing psychotherapy, Cassidy decided to ensure that her characters made the changes she always wanted her clients to make-the ones necessary to create a "happily ever after" or at least a "better after." (The pseudonym was necessary because, after all, no one wants to think about their therapist writing about sex). Cassidy lives in East Tennessee in a town somewhat bigger than Ridgeview, but full of small town charm and populated with interesting characters. She is fortunate to share her life with her husband, Bernie; her dog, Luke Skywalker; a cat, Darcy Lynn, who bites when petted; and two very sweet pasture-pet horses, Shade and Lucky Sugar Lena. She writes in an office overlooking the Smoky Mountains and her horses grazing in the pasture. For that, she’s very grateful, because when writer’s block hits, she can stare at a beautiful view. I’ve Got You is the first book in the Ridgeview, Tennessee series, based on a small town in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. As is common with many small towns, Ridgeview’s residents depend on each other, the values of the region, and small town living to create lives ready for love.
